Kevin Durant (original name Kevin Wayne Durant) was born on 29th September, 1988 in the capital city of Washington D.C. He is a basketball player having an unusual height of 6 feet and nine inches and represents the Seattle Supersonics team. This is the 2nd team that got picked up while forming the 2007 draft of NBA (National Basketball Association) hailing from University of Texas. The journey of Kevin Durant to fame began with the receipt of numerous accolades. Between the years 2006 & 07, he was bestowed with Phillips 66, “Player of the year Big 12” and other notable awards. Subsequent to his introduction to the sport of basketball, he eventually decided to join the NBA Draft and was chosen as the number 2 overall player following Greg Oden.
Career History in NBA:
On the 11th of April, 2007, Durant annunciated to enter the NBA Draft of 2007. Soon, he signed his first ever professional contract on 25th May. The contract between Kevin Durant and Upper Deck Co. was sealed and the essence of contract stated Durant being the key player that the company would focus in the trading cards of NBA season of 2007 to 2008. In addition, he was declared cover boy of NCAA March Madness 2008 brand of EA Sports video games. He sported in the advertisements of the EA video game of NBA Live 2008, besides Gilbert Arenas. Subsequently, Durant signed several enormous contracts, a major one being the 7 yr deal with Nike worth a whooping 60 million dollars. He declined the contract with another endorsement company Adidas stating that he had worn the Nike Brand throughout his life. |
